e-Liquid Facts and Information

E-Liquids are made by combining Nicotine, VG (Vegetable Glycerin), PG (Propylene Glycol) and flavorings to create an interesting and delicious blend. We have everything from dark coffees and tobaccos to sweet and fruity blends in many nicotine levels, so you can find something that tastes good and satisfies your cravings. We make all of our House Blend e-liquids in a certified ISO6 Clean Room with high quality ingredients.

What is PG and VG?

VG (Vegetable Glycerin) is a plant-based substance that is odorless and colorless with a slightly sweet taste. VG is what turns your exhale into a big cloud. Our VG is Kosher Grade and sourced inside the USA. This component of e-liquid is found in lots of products, including food and over the counter medications.

PG (Propylene Glycol) is a lab-made liquid that is also used in food, medications and cosmetic products. PG is what really holds the flavorings and is what helps make our e-liquid so flavorful. Some people who are sensitive to PG have reported some irritation to their throats. For issues like this, we have a High VG House Blend that is lower in PG that you may find is less irritating. If you are having issues with PG, please speak with your doctor before you continue vaping.

Flavorings, it’s what makes vaping delicious!

We use food grade flavorings from trusted vendors to create our blends. We have everything from a mild Vanilla blend, sweet Strawberry or spicy Cinnamon. Check out our Best Sellers page to see what blends our customers absolutely love, we are sure you will find the perfect flavor to start your vaping journey!

Nicotine- What’s that all about?

Nicotine is an addictive stimulant and it is the main reason that it’s so hard to stop smoking. The nicotine in our e-liquid comes from an extraction method from the tobacco leaves, where the natural nicotine is stripped from the leaves and under the most stringent control, distilled to produce the highest possible levels of purity. Our goal is to help you stop smoking, so we recommend the step down method using our nicotine levels. Depending on how much you smoke now, you may need to try a few levels in your tank to find what is right for you. Please see our Nicotine level table to help determine where you can start for your smoking habits.

Do I have to get a e-liquid with nicotine?

Of course not! Almost all of our House Blend and Premiums are available in zero nicotine e-liquids, so you can vape without the addictive effects of nicotine. Sometimes 0 nic can taste a little different as sometimes the nicotine can lend it’s own flavor to the blend.

How can I get the most out of my E-Liquid?

Shake your e-liquid every time before use! Some ingredients can separate in the bottle as it waits to being vaped. So shaking your bottle will ensure that all of the flavors and nicotine are mixed together to give you the best possible flavor for vaping!

Keep it at an even temperature. Extreme heat and extreme cold is not ideal for your e-liquid. If your e-liquid gets too hot or if you leave it in direct sunlight, some of the flavors can become lighter and sometimes it can change the flavor altogether. If your e-liquid gets too cold, warm it up in your hands as you shake it so you can make sure that everything is completely mixed together.

Okay, I’m ready to start but I don’t know what nicotine level to start with…. Help!

Our regular blend e-liquids are available in 0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and a small selection of 24 nicotine. Our High VG levels are available in 0, 2, 4 and 8nic.

When you are starting to vape, you will generally have a tank with a coil with 1 or more ohms. Our regular blend is best for this type of tank due to the 60% PG/40% VG ratio. This gives you the most flavor while allowing it to pass through the coil easily.

Our High VG Blends are meant for tanks or drippers with coils that are under 1 ohm, also known as Sub-Ohm tanks. These coils are designed to withstand the higher ratio of VG. Sub-ohm vaping is generally a step up from those who are starting to vape and can require additional information before you start. If you are looking to step up to Sub-ohm vaping, contact one of our shops for more information!

Nicotine Level Chart for Beginners

Nicotine is measured in milligrams per milliliter or mg/ml. So, if it says 4 mg nic, that means there is 4mg of nicotine in every 1milliliter of e-liquid. Choosing a good level to start on can be a little difficult due to the vast number of traditional cigarettes and the varying nicotine levels in each individual cigarette. This chart is a guideline to help you choose your first e-liquid.

We always recommend that you try a level lower than you may think you need for your first purchase. Having too much nicotine can really make the experience of vaping harsh and irritating to your throat.

0 mg nic

This level is most purchased by those on the last step to quit!

4 mg nic

This level is most purchased by people who were smoking occasionally or socially.

8 mg nic

This level is most purchased by people who were smoking 1/2 a pack to 3/4 a pack of traditional cigarettes a day.

12 mg nic

This level is most purchased by people who were smoking a full pack of “Ultra-Light” traditional cigarettes a day.

16 mg nic

This level is most purchased by people who were smoking a full pack or more of “Full Flavor” Traditional cigarettes a day.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m vaping a lot and I’m not as satisfied as I was with a traditional cigarette, what can I do?

If you are vaping constantly but still craving a traditional cigarette, we recommend increasing to the next level of nicotine, so you can get the amount of nicotine that you are used to. We know that the ultimate goal is to quit completely, but to start this journey, we recommend starting on the level you are used to before you start to step down. Don’t worry if you have to start a little higher than you were expecting, vaping is different than smoking a traditional cigarette!

I’m not able to taste my e-liquid anymore, what’s going on?

We call this Vape Tongue, but don’t worry this happens to all of us from time to time. We found that this typically happens if you haven’t been drinking enough water, you have been vaping the same e-liquid for an extended period or if you have seasonal allergies. To kick start your taste buds you can start by drinking more water, if your mouth is dry it’s hard to taste the vapor. Other tricks we have found to help with this is to use mouthwash, smell fresh coffee beans, suck on a lemon, eat a pickle or try changing the flavor of your vape for the time being. If you have seasonal allergies, you may have to wait until the allergens aren’t affecting your sinuses anymore. We know it is a pain to not be able to taste your favorite e-liquid, but this will eventually pass.

Why do some e-liquids make my coil burn out faster?

Some e-liquid blends are sweeter than others, and while they can cure your sweet tooth, the sugar can caramelize on the cotton due to the heat. Since it creates a film on the cotton, it’s hard for the e-liquid to adequately soak into the cotton and make the coil burn out faster. You can try switching to another e-liquid flavor to see if this helps.
